Hang out with your fellow Xscapers in Austin, Texas and experience a jam-packed week of fun!

This event promises to be a great time with activities ranging from live music to go-karting and includes a day at the river. This will be a great week to reconnect with old friends AND make new ones.  As with most Xscapers events, the daytime will be left free for those of us who work from the road to continue to do so.  Most activities will take place at night and on the weekends. There are a limited number of 30amp/120v sites available (electric ONLY) and the rest will be dry camping.

Bring a brunch dish to share. You won't be able to feed every attendee, but if everyone brings a little something, there will be a little something for everyone. It's best to keep it simple but if you want to go all out, no one is going to stop you. This also a great event to show off your fanciest Bloody-Mary or mimosa.

The Infamous Xscapers Lot Crawl

As a group, we'll move from one parking section to another, getting to know each other and doing rig walkthroughs (you don't have to open your rig if you don't want to). Provide snacks, appetizers, or beverages outside of your rig if you would like folks to stop by. We do this in sections so that everyone has a chance to partake in the activities.

FAQs

For those of you who attended  the Annual Bash, you were told the Austin convergence would be a dog centered event.  Unfortunately, the venue just didn’t pan out.  We are just as bummed about it as you are.  We hope to bring you a dog related convergence in the future.

There will be a few porta-potties available near the main activity area.

Absolutely!  We love kids! Just remember to keep your kids on a leash when they are out side of your RV.  Wait, that’s pets.  Pets on a leash, kids under supervision.

We welcome your furry friends!  If they are outside your rig, they must be leashed at all times. Please pick up after your pets.

We will have dumpsters on site.  Please break down all trash to make it as small as possible, especially boxes!

There will be no early arrival or late departures for this event.  Please do not plan on arriving any earlier than 9:00 am on Saturday.  Sunday check-out time is 11:00am

All sites are approximately 25 ft x 50 ft.  You will need to make sure everything fits in this area.  Only one RV/camping rig per site.  Additional rigs will need to purchase additional tickets.

Those who purchase a dry camping site ticket will have the option to choose a parking section:

Solar – This section is the for those who have an established solar set up for their rig.  There will be no generator use authorized in this section EXCEPT during times of inclement weather.

Family – This section is for (you guessed it) families.  We encourage attendees traveling with children to park in this section (although you don’t have to).  Generator hours: 8:00am  – 10:00pm.

Party – We don’t need no stinkin’ quiet hours!  This section is for those who want to be in the thick of it for the entire event.  Generator hours: 8:00am – 10:00pm.

General – If you don’t quite fit into any of the other sections, then the general section is the place for you! Generator hours: 8:00am – 10:00pm.

If you would like to park next to someone, please arrive at the same time and be registered for the same parking section. We will try our best to park you next to those you arrive with.

There is a dump and water station available on site.  HOWEVER, please arrive with your black tank empty and your water tank full and utilize your best conservation efforts during the event.

Cell phone signal is strong for all major carriers.

There will be an address listed here about a week before the event to which you can have items shipped.

The main reasons for you to attend a convergence should be to have fun and meet other like-minded RVers.  Networking and making potential business leads is a natural result of being part of an awesome community.  We don’t want the Xscapers community to be bombarded or feel like they are a commodity. If the main reason you are wanting to attend an Xscapers event is to sell something, market to attendees, or simply to generate content we would ask that you contact us directly for corporate sponsorship.

If you need to make changes or cancel your registration, please email registration@escapees.com.  The final date to cancel for a refund is 3/23/2022.

No problem! Just email convergences@escapees.com with your question, and we’ll do our best to get you an answer.

Is an Xscapers Convergence Right for Me?

Xscapers was formed to bring Escapees RV Club back to its original roots of supporting RVers who are working from the road. At Convergences, you will find a community of active and free-spirited individuals with a passion for travel and adventure.

About 80% of Xscapers have full-time jobs they do remotely or seasonally.  This means we typically don’t hold activities during standard work hours (with the exception of Annual Bash). Starting later in the day also means later nights. We have found that this can be a factor in deciding what event program people attend.

We try to give the most fun and entertainment value at an affordable price.  One way we do that is by boondocking as much as possible. Our events are also a great way for newbie boondockers to learn from experienced ones. We try to divide our camping areas into those who have solar and those who want to run generators when possible.

Xscapers is an inclusive community, connected through the bond of RVing. This means we welcome people from all walks of life, no matter race, sexual orientation, political/religious views, lifestyle or RV type. Discrimination of any type will not be tolerated.

Covid-19 Precautions

Modified COVID-19 Precautions for Escapees Events – Effective For all Escapees Events After March 1, 2022

Gatherings and events are considered high-risk activities. As such, Escapees recommends all attendees 5 years and older get their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines and receive a booster dose, if eligible, before attending any club event. COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting organizers, staff, and attendees from getting seriously ill, getting hospitalized, and even dying.  As with vaccines for other diseases, people who are up to date are optimally protected.

In addition, we strongly recommend that all attendees wear a face covering while indoors, wash or sanitize their hands frequently and maintain social distancing where possible. Unvaccinated individuals should wear a face covering at all times while indoors, per CDC guidance. Please be aware that there may still be certain circumstances where masks will be required. Attendees who choose to not wear a mask, are expected to be respectful and mindful of other participants wearing a face mask or covering.

Escapees will follow all state and/or local policies regarding COVID-19 and as such these policies may need be adjusted to comply with state/local mandates at the time of the event.

What we strongly recommend:

  • We highly recommend all attendees be fully vaccinated and up to date with boosters.
  • We highly recommend that attendees test for COVID-19 prior and during the event to reduce the unintentional spread of COVID-19.
  • We highly recommend attendees wear masks any time they are indoors or are in close proximity of others.
  • We highly recommend that attendees sanitize or wash their hands on a regular basis.
  • We highly recommend that attendees resist hugging (even though we terribly miss those hugs!) and bump elbows or fists versus shaking hands.

What we will do:

  • As often as possible, hold activities outside or in places with good airflow.
  • Separate seating so that non-family members can distance themselves when feasible.
  • Provide backup masks for those who forget theirs.
  • Provide sanitizer or sanitation stations for good hygiene.

Escapees Event Liability Waiver

Each attendee will be required to sign an “Escapees Event Liability Waiver” at the time of event check-in and agree that they are in good health, have not tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 5 days, and without fever. In addition, all attendees must agree to follow precautions implemented by the Event staff and assume the inherent risks with voluntarily attending an Escapees event and associated activities.

Situations in which you may not attend an Escapees event

You may not attend this event if any of the following are true for you or anyone in your party, unless you have met CDC criteria for discontinuing self-isolation:

  • Within 5 days before attending the event you have tested positive, or
  • Within 48 hours before attending the event, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100 or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), whether or not you are vaccinated.

Attendees who have had COVID-19 within 5 days before attending the event are unfortunately not eligible to attend. Registered attendees may receive a full refund of their registration fee by emailing a dated copy of a positive test result to the appropriate event host or registrations@escapees.com.

After Registering

You will receive confirmation of your registration to your given email address within a few minutes of purchase.  It will include a link to the event Facebook group.  Also, be on the look out for additional e-mails as the event draws closer.

Cancellation

If we must cancel the event, or your attendance at the event, due to local health department restrictions, such as those restricting the size of gatherings, you will receive a full refund of your registration fees.

If you decide to cancel, a $25 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund.

We only accept credit or debit card payment for Convergence registration. All refunds will be credited to the card used at time of registration. No cash refunds.

All refund requests must be in writing by 11:59 PM CST, March 23, 2022. No refunds will be given after March 23, 2022.

By registering for this event, you are agreeing to the following:

  • As an attendee, you assume all risk and danger relating to your personal property, RV and attendance at the event, whether occurring prior to, during, or after the event. In the event of loss or theft, no claim will be made upon Escapees, its volunteers, employees or agents.
  • Volunteers may be directing and assisting you in your parking areas. However, it is the driver of the vehicle who is ultimately responsible for avoiding obstacles or dangerous situations and is solely responsible for any damage to one’s property or the property of others.
  • As an attendee at this event, you are granting your permission to be filmed, videotaped, audiotaped, or photographed, and granting to Escapees RV Club the full use of any such recordings or images without compensation.
  • By registering, you will also receive occasional email notifications of future Convergences; however, you can opt-out of these notifications at any time.
  • In addition to the above, you will be required during registration to agree that you will help provide a safe environment for everyone by complying with our health and safety rules, and to release Escapees RV Club from liability should you become ill during the event.

I’m a SKP Who has a home base in Austin. Old Settlers Music Festival overlaps this event. As a post event volunteer for that festival, I will be on-site there outside of Lockhart until Wednesday. Is there any way to be a part of your event on day passes or even just a couple of activities?

    • Unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate day passes or partial for most Convergences. We hope you have a great time with the festival, though!
